Meet Your Coach

Jordan Welch

Hi friends! I'm Jordan, the proud owner and head coach of Highway to Health Wellness Coaching.

My passion is to inspire and enable individuals to uncover the perfect balance of experiencing the fullness of life, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle that yields a strong and sculpted physique.

Holistic Health and Wellness is the core of my business, where we simultaneously address the physical, mental, emotional, and social components of health. By taking this approach, we are able to uncover any hinderances that may be delaying progress or preventing you from reaching your desired goals! I am passionate about enabling my clients with the knowledge and skills they need to create sustainable change that redefines their lifestyle in the best way possible; no more fad diets, obsessive tracking, unsustainable methodology, and overwhelming information. At Highway to Health, my mission is to simplify the world of fitness and nutrition for you so you can put an end to the delay, confusion, and unnecessary complexity of yo-yo dieting and the "start on Monday” mentality!

I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Certified Nutrition Coach, and a CrossFit L1 Trainer. In addition to owning and operating my business full time, I also coach CrossFit and Bootcamp sessions at a few local gyms.

I began my own health and fitness journey over 10 years ago. Throughout the duration of my journey, I have engaged in a variety of fitness modalities including but not limited to long-distance running, Ashtanga/Vinyasa Yoga, Competitive Bodybuilding, Olympic Weightlifting, Gymnastics, and CrossFit. Among all of these, I have found the most joy in doing a little bit of everything, and staying consistently active no matter what.

When I took the first step towards changing my lifestyle, I wasn’t in a great mindset. I was struggling with poor self-image, body dysmorphia, obsessive exercise, restrictive dieting, etc. I knew I wanted to live a healthier lifestyle, adopt a new mentality, and achieve a more muscular and toned physique, but I didn’t have a clue how to get there. I did a ton of research, read lots of books, tried a variety of diets, and as mentioned previously, what seemed like every kind of exercise regime. Excessive cardio and prolonged calorie deficits were not progressing me towards my goals, so I furthered my research on weightlifting, bodybuilding, and consuming a more balanced diet. This really sparked my interest and passion for fitness! I set a goal for myself to compete in an NPC Bodybuilding Competition and was committed to immersing myself in growing my knowledge of the sport. In 2016, I got on stage and placed 2nd overall, qualifying me for Nationals. Although I decided not to compete beyond that year, learned a lot of foundational skills and knowledge that have advanced me in my field of expertise, and have been valuable and applicable to my personal and professional growth. I continued to incorporate bodybuilding in my regular training but started to mentally plateau after awhile. I became bored and burnt out with that style of training and decided to try CrossFit in 2018 with the hopes of finding that spark again. I fell in love with the concept of Functional Fitness and movement and found that not only was I excited to workout everyday again, but that the physical and mental benefits were astounding! After 3 years of participating in the sport, I decided to become a Certified CrossFit Trainer. I began coaching classes at my gym and participating in local competitions to further progress.

My own journey on the Highway to Health has not only progressed me towards achieving personal goals, but it has also uncovered a love and passion for helping individuals find balance and joy in exercising and fueling their bodies with proper nutrition.

Your journey and progress will not always be linear. Goals change, seasons of life change, YOU change, and it is important to embrace these changes with an open mind. Sometimes it’s easier and more efficient to do that with a professional to guide you along the way, and I am happy to serve you!

XO, Jordan
